Look out for letters and fliers about PAFA events and activities over the coming months
Come and meet us on Tuesday 7th September 2010 at 7 for 7.30pm in the Forum.
We now have our own page in the "High Flyer" school newsletter every month.
We raise funds to supplement school projects and activities by holding social events and running The 200 Club. We also offer practical help, such as providing refreshments and support at school events.
Our successes have been due in no small part to the vast amount of help from our parent helpers. If you feel able to help with PAFA events or fund-raising in any capacity please contact us by email via this page or via the school office. If you wish to contact the PAFA Chairman, please do so via the School Office and mark your letter or email 'for the attention of the PAFA Chairman'.
Chairman Christopher Swinhoe-Standen
Vice Chair Janie Grover
Secretary Catri Plummer
Treasurer Alan Baker
200 Club Coordinator Lorraine Dollard
Refreshments Coordinator Sue Ashton
Procurement Coordinators Sue Roberts and Alun McCarthy
We would very much like your input with ideas and practical help both on and off the committee. So please contact us if you are willing to help or, better still, come along to the first PAFA meeting of the new school year on Tuesday 7th September at 7 for 7.30pm in the Forum - we look forward to meeting you!
If your daughter is joining Year 7 in September, do drop in for coffee on Friday 10th September at 10am and meet other new parents to Wycombe High School. Also, remember to send in your application for tickets to the Year 7 Welcome Quiz on Friday 17th September. The school Reception is open throughout the Summer holidays.
The Parents and Friends Association (PAFA) has subscribed to 'buy.at' (a "web-shop"). This is an online shopping portal that links to a large variety of online shopping sites. Our web address is www.buy.at/WycombeHighSchool. Each time you visit one of the sites from 'buy.at' and a purchase is made, the PAFA gets a commission payment. We have over 100 retailers on board (selling insurance, utilities, furniture and holidays as well as clothes, chocolates, books, flowers and other gift items).
So if you are booking a late holiday, buying books for holiday reading or stationery items for returning to school please explore the site and tell your friends.
Please explore the site and tell your friends.
In a similar way, you can also contribute directly to school funds by buying your Amazon.co.uk goods through our Amazon link. You pay nothing more, but the school will get a small percentage of every pound you spend
